Concept Car Of The Future Volkswagen SEDRIC Autonomous

Germany, land of beer and bratwurst, is also home to some pretty fancy cars. And the newest addition to the lineup is the Sedric, a concept car from none other than the big kahuna of car manufacturers, Volkswagen. Now, you may be thinking, "Volkswagen? Isn't that the company that makes those boring old Beetles?" Well, yes and no.

They also make some pretty slick rides under brand names like Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, SEAT, and Skoda.

But the Sedric, oh the Sedric. This electric vehicle is something special. It's got no steering wheel, no pedals. It's like a smartphone with four wheels and doors. Just tell it where you want to go and it'll take you there, all while you sit back and relax in its cozy interior.

Unveiled to the world in 2017, the Sedric is said to come with the most advanced form of self-driving technology - level 5 autonomy. That's like, the safest you can get. And it's not just safe, it's also stylish.

The Sedric is shaped like a cute little capsule, with sofa-style seating in the back and semi-transparent screens. Plus, it's got an air-purification system, so you can breathe easy while you're cruising around.

Now, you might be wondering why this futuristic car looks so...boxy

Well, that's because it doesn't have a hood or shoulders. But that just adds to its charm, right?

The Sedric's got a 35 kilowatt battery that'll take you up to 180 miles on a single charge in the city. And with a top speed of 20 mph, you'll be the slow and steady winner of the race.

Volkswagen says that you'll be able to summon the Sedric with just the push of a button. And once you're inside, you'll be greeted by a voice assistant, just like Siri on an iPhone.

But the Sedric's not the only EV in Volkswagen's future. They're planning to produce 10 different types of electric vehicles in the next 10 years, and sell around 3 million by 2025. So get ready, folks, the future is closer than you think.
