They can originate traffic jams on the roads because cars must reduce speed to 20 kmph when approaching them. They can also produce pollutant emissions into the atmosphere when the cars speed up after passing them. Some experts from Morelia in Mexico have invented smart speed bumps. These do not have the drawbacks of the traditional speed bumps. The operation of Tope Inteligente is simple. Sensors that can measure the cars’ speed are placed in front of the speed bump. If the cars are approaching the bump at low speed, it hides. That is, you do not have to reduce speed to twenty kilometers per hour to continue to go. If you are running too fast, the speed bump remains unfolded. This obliges the driver to reduce speed.
KIWIBOT
Ordering food from home has become a popular custom. This service has been improving lately to the point that now there are places in the world where robots are substituting people in the job of food delivery. This new service is still on testing. Some food delivery robots were tested on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley. The results were satisfactory. It is noteworthy that these smart machines successfully delivered more than 10,000 orders. Kiwi, which is the name of the model, is characterized by its compact size. Modern engineers are looking for ways to produce electricity without harming the environment. Kerem Davichi a Turkish specialist from Istanbul invented a new way to get electricity from air. On his way to work, he noticed a powerful airflow between buses when one was running next to the other. He came up with the idea of creating turbines that would spin by the power of the airflow and generate electricity. He got an authorization from the government to test and install 300 turbines over a one-kilometer area in the Topkapi region. If all the tests with these turbines are completed successfully, it will be possible to provide electricity to more than 20.000 houses. The energy created by the turbines is enough to distribute free Wi-Fi, power the devices to determine air temperature and carbon dioxide emissions. They could also be used in seismic monitoring stations. Without a doubt it is a Great invention!
