World’s First Flying Penguin Ever Created - AirPenguin

A new flying penguin-like robot is poised to impress the world after a German tech company successfully developed robotic birds and bats.

The company Festo has created a penguin-shaped drone that flaps its wings and soars like a real bird. The robot, named Air Penguin, is not only possible but also showcases the company's capability to create magnificent autonomous flying objects.

Air Penguin is 3.7 meters long but still agile and maneuverable due to a helium-filled balloon body, which generates around one kilogram of buoyant force. The wings are controlled by two actuators, a flapping actuator for the up and down movement and a displacer unit that alters the pressure point of the wings.

The Air Penguin can communicate with other penguins and transmitting stations using a 2.4 gigahertz band radio wave. The penguins are able to demonstrate rapid and precise control over their flying while mastering height control. They work on electricity and when they run low on power, they will automatically find their charging station to recharge.
